Letter From The President
 It seems that we
just finished putting up our Christmas decorations, and spring is
already here. Is it just me, or this year moving along too
quickly?
JWI has so much going on, and so
many great opportunities for the members that it's hard to fit it all
in one newsletter.
Firstly, I'd like to thank JWI Member Wendy Timson, CMP at The
Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek for such a fabulous February
luncheon! Jeff Crilley
presented on gaining free publicity
and, as always, he was very entertaining and energetic! Thanks,
also,
to board members Richard McClure (A Very Special Day)
for providing Audio / Video, Steve Cooley (Carpe Vita
Photography) for photographing this beautiful luncheon (as well as
Jeff's antics), and Meagan Hayes (RSVP Soiree) for
providing chargers. Other contributions were graciously provided
by Bella Flora (centerpieces), and Ducky
Bob's for rentals and linens. Finally, door prizes were
donated by Gil's
Elegant Catering and VIP Transportation (Terry Reddy; 972.333.1365).
Speaking of JWI events - did you make it to the first
President's Happy Hour of the year? Amy at the House
of Blues provided us with a wonderful area to gather. and the first
round was on the house! Although I had to leave early for a
birthday
party, I heard alot of positive feedback. (The next happy hour will be in May at Abacus on McKinney - more information will be coming soon!)
As you may have noticed, there's something going on every month for JWI members. Be sure to add these dates to your calendar, because
we'd
hate for you to miss one of these great events.

 Plan on joining JWI
for the April meeting at the beautiful Empire Room
in downtown Dallas.
Our speaker will be Jill Donaldson, founder
and
President of Donaldson
Dynamics. Jill's passion is tapping
into, and releasing, the strengths and potential of the people she
meets.
 Her presentation, entitled "Upside
Down to Right
Side Up" will show how
to turn things upside down in order to view your colleagues' strengths
and talents in a whole new way. This perspective will challenge
you to
improve relationships and create a team who compliments and energizes
each other. Jills goals for us are simple - to have fun during
our
meeting and to take away some points that can be applied to work and
life.

Brown Bag Lunch on the Run - May 13th
 The first Lunch on the Run of this
year will be held on Tuesday, May 13th.
Kay Watson, Education Chair began Lunch on the
Run last fall and experienced a great turnout and overwhelming
response. The concept is to provide our members with some great,
concise, business information in an informal lunch setting. Kay
and Richard McClure (Education Co-Chair) are working
hard to make this a great mini-event.
The topic for May will be "Small Business Advertising and Your
Advertising Dollars". JWI will be providing beverages and
dessert. More information to follow.

Hello JWI
I am excited about being the 2008 June Social Chair.
Reflecting back on all the great events that have been created for the
past June Social's presents me with big shoes to fill. I am
really
excited to have the opportunity produce the 2008 Social and I am really
excited about the theme for this years event.
Make sure to put it on your calendar for Sunday, June 22nd at the suave
boutique Magnolia Hotel!
I can not reveal the theme just yet but I can hint at telling you it is
based on a very popular broadway show and it is going to rock your
socks off!
We will be sending out invitations in May so watch your mail and let us
know if there have been any changes with your mailing addresses.
We have one or two committee positions open. If anyone would like to be
involved in this years social, please call Pamm Meyers
